Golfli Privacy Policy

01 Who we are

Golfli is a golf tee time booking app being developed and operated by Bookli LLC (“Golfli,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). This Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal information when you visit golfli.io (the “Website”), join our waitlist, or contact us about the waitlist.

This policy covers the current Website and waitlist. We currently request only an email address to join the waitlist. If we introduce accounts, tee time bookings, payments, or other features that involve additional personal information, we will update this policy before those new practices begin.

02 Information we collect

• Waitlist information. When you join the waitlist, we collect the email address you provide. Providing it is voluntary, but we need it to add you to the waitlist and contact you about access to Golfli. We do not ask for your name, phone number, payment details, location, or golf preferences in the waitlist form.
• Communications. If you email us, we receive your email address and any information you choose to include in your message. Please do not send payment information or other sensitive personal information.
• Technical information. The infrastructure that delivers the Website processes connection information, such as your IP address. Our hosting and security providers may also process basic server logs, such as browser information, requested pages, and access times, to deliver the Website, diagnose errors, and prevent abuse. This is separate from the email address you submit to our waitlist.

03 How we use information

We use your email address to maintain the waitlist, confirm your signup, send updates about Golfli’s development and launch, and notify you when access becomes available. We also use information as needed to respond to your requests, remove duplicate or abusive submissions, protect the Website, honor privacy and unsubscribe requests, and meet legal obligations.

We do not use waitlist information to send unrelated third-party promotions. We do not use it to make automated decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects on you.

04 When we disclose information

• Service providers. We may disclose information to providers that help us host and secure the Website, store the waitlist, or deliver email. We authorize them to use the information only as needed to provide services to us, subject to appropriate confidentiality and data protection obligations.
• Legal and safety purposes. We may disclose information when reasonably necessary to comply with applicable law or valid legal process, protect legal rights, investigate abuse, or address threats to security or safety.
• Business transfers. If Golfli is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of its business or assets, relevant information may be disclosed or transferred as part of that transaction, subject to applicable law and appropriate confidentiality protections. A recipient must continue to handle that information consistently with this policy unless a lawful change is made with any required notice or consent.
• At your direction. We may disclose information when you specifically ask us to or give us permission.

We do not sell or rent your personal information. We do not disclose it to third parties for their own direct marketing or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

05 Cookies and tracking

We do not use advertising cookies, third-party analytics tools, retargeting pixels, or email-open and click tracking for the waitlist. Our hosting and security providers may use strictly necessary cookies or similar technologies to deliver and protect the Website.

We do not track your activity across other websites, and we do not permit third parties to use the Website to track you over time and across unrelated websites for advertising. Because we do not engage in that tracking, our practices do not change in response to a browser’s Do Not Track signal. We honor legally required opt-out preference signals where applicable.

You can manage cookies through your browser settings. Blocking necessary cookies may affect Website functionality.

06 Email choices

You can stop receiving waitlist and launch emails at any time by using the unsubscribe link in an email or contacting us at admin@golfli.io. We will honor unsubscribe requests promptly and no later than 10 business days after receiving them, or sooner if applicable law requires.

Unsubscribing stops future waitlist and launch emails. You may also ask us to delete your waitlist information. We may retain a limited record of your opt-out solely to prevent further unwanted emails. We may still respond to a request you send us or provide a notice required by law.

07 How long we retain information

We retain your email address for as long as reasonably necessary to administer the waitlist and provide the launch updates you requested, unless you unsubscribe or request deletion sooner. When the waitlist ends or the information is no longer needed for that purpose, we delete it unless you have separately chosen to receive an ongoing service or communication.

We retain other information only as long as necessary for its stated purpose, including resolving your inquiry, protecting the Website, meeting a legal requirement, or establishing or defending legal claims. Limited unsubscribe records may be retained as needed to honor your preferences.

Deleted information may remain in routine backups until those backups are overwritten. During that period, it is not used for marketing or ordinary business activities.

08 How we protect information

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards appropriate to the information we handle, and limit access to people and service providers who need it for the purposes described in this policy. No internet transmission or electronic storage system is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

09 Your privacy choices and rights

You may contact us at admin@golfli.io to ask what personal information we hold about you, correct your email address, remove yourself from the waitlist, or request deletion. Please contact us from the email address used to join the waitlist when possible. We may take reasonable steps to verify your identity before disclosing or changing information.

Depending on where you live and which laws apply to Golfli, you may also have rights to obtain a copy of your information, restrict or object to certain processing, withdraw consent, appeal a denied request, or complain to a privacy regulator. Where processing relies on consent, withdrawing it does not affect processing that was lawful before withdrawal.

We will respond within the time required by applicable law. If we cannot fulfill a request, we will explain why and provide any legally required information about appeal options. You can submit an appeal to the same contact email. We will not discriminate against you for exercising rights provided by law.

10 Legal bases and international processing

Where applicable law requires a legal basis, we rely on your consent for the waitlist emails you request; our legitimate interests in operating and securing the Website, responding to inquiries, and maintaining opt-out records; and legal obligations where processing is required by law.

Information may be processed in countries where Golfli or its service providers operate, which may have different privacy laws from your country. Where applicable law requires safeguards for an international transfer, we will use a permitted transfer mechanism and provide information about the relevant safeguards on request at admin@golfli.io.

11 Children’s privacy

The Website and waitlist are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child under 13 has provided an email address or other personal information, contact us at admin@golfli.io so we can investigate and delete it as appropriate. Where applicable law requires a higher age or parental consent, we follow those requirements.

12 Changes to this policy

We may update this policy to reflect changes to the Website, our practices, or applicable law. We will post the revised policy on the Website and update the date above. For material changes, we will provide a prominent Website notice and, where appropriate, notify affected waitlist members by email before the changes take effect. We will obtain consent when required by applicable law.
